Homemade Pesto

Welcome foodies, heres my easy, quick and leafy green packed homemade pesto recipe! Pesto is a great spread and is awesome in pasta, speaking of which my new pesto pasta recipe will be up tomorrow, be sure to check it out!

 

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup of chickpeas

- 1/2 cup of basil leaves (packed)

- 1 cup of spinach leaves (packed)

- 1 tbsp of water

- 1 pinch of salt

- 1 pinch of pepper

- 3 tbsp of olive oil


How to:


  1. Blend chickpeas, basil leaves, spinach leaves, water, salt and pepper in a food processor.

  2. Once combined/blended gradually add olive oil while blending until smooth.

  3. Store finished Pesto in an air tight container in the freezer, then re-blend when needed. Or serve in pasta, on crackers or as a spread.
